Tips for a trip

Resort Líšenský Dvůr is located in the central, highest area of the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy, in a recreational area minimally affected by human activity. It is located on the slopes of the famous Buchtova Hill (813 m above sea level – one of the highest peaks of the Žďárských vrchů), at an altitude of 650 m above sea level. The nearby surroundings offer inexhaustible opportunities for hiking and cycling, and cross-country skiing in winter.

Walking trips

The surrounding area is densely interwoven with marked hiking trails (there is a green marker right around the resort), as well as quality other trails in forests and meadows, which allow wandering for long days almost without touching civilization. Popular destinations for short to day trips.

Bohdalecká skála (hill across the valley opposite the hotel, 791 m above sea level, beautiful semicircular view towards the south, rocky parts)

Cycling tours

In addition to the above (almost everything described can be done by bike), there are more distant destinations: the town of Polička, the birthplace of Bohuslav Martinů, with its complete medieval fortifications.

Below the resort, in the valley of the Fryšávka River, there is marked cycle route No. 104, which is followed by several others in the vicinity, including long-distance route No. 1 (“Pražská”).

Winter sports – cross-country skiing

In the winter, cross-country skiers have truly “endless” possibilities, as the entire surrounding landscape is usually covered with continuous cover for several months and they are not limited by the terrain. There are groomed cross-country skiing trails a few kilometres from the hotel, in the area north of Nové Město na Moravě; these are among the most popular in the country (World Cup races), the most famous trails measuring 22.7 km (easy) and 50 km (hard).

Downhill skiing

There are three quality ski slopes close to the hotel (within 10 minutes by car), which will satisfy skiers of all levels, including small children (children’s lifts, children’s nursery).
